Working meeting between CEO, National Union Hog Industry Union, Yury Kovalev and Executive Director, National Veterinary Association, Aleksandr Isaev

On March 25, 2021, a working meeting was held between CEO, National Hog Breeding Union, Yury Kovalev and Executive Director, National Veterinary Association, Alexander Isaev.The meeting discussed the participation of the National Hog Breeding Union in the 10th Anniversary International Veterinary Congress, which will be held from 20 to 23 April 2021 on the premises of the special economic zone Technopolis Moscow.

The event will be held in a hybrid format using modern digital and media technologies.
The Organizing Committee of the Congress launches an open communications platform and has prepared for its participants a new format of networking and advanced training in the areas of functioning of livestock, including pig-breeding enterprises in the context of digitalization, traceability and economic modeling.

Alexander Isaev noted that the keynote session "One World – One Health" will bring together the most significant topics on biosafety, rapid warning systems, antibiotic resistance strategy, as well as other topical issues of veterinary medicine, animal science and feeding.

From April 21 to April 22, within the framework of the section Relevant Veterinary Issues of Hog Industry, interesting research and practical reports will be presented on the epizootic situation in pig diseases in the Russian Federation and border areas; prevention and diagnosis of infectious diseases of pigs, as well as biosafety of pig breeding complexes and compartmentalization. Also, within the framework of the section, a roundtable on African swine fever will be held with the participation of international experts from Spain and Belgium and key specialists from research institutes of the Russian Federation.
