Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation

Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation is a federal executive body responsible for the development of state policy and legal regulation in the field of the agro-industrial complex, the market for agricultural products, raw materials and foodstuffs, food and processing industries, sustainable development of rural areas, as well as land relations in part concerning agricultural land. The Ministry coordinates and controls the activities of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision (Rosselkhoznadzor) and the Federal Agency for Fisheries (Rosrybolovstvo), which are under its jurisdiction.
